Project 52: Week 12: St. Patrick’s Day Fun {Elk River, MN Photographer}

If you don’t know me already and are following along on my project 52 you can see how big of a kid at heart I am.  I love spending time with my kids, their friends, their cousins and especially celebrating Holidays.  St. Patrick’s Day landed on a weekend so we were able to have more fun celebrating. I can say I have a little Irish in my blood so it makes it fun to celebrate. If you ask” E” he would tell you he loves to try to catch the leprechaun. This year he didn’t set any traps at our house but he told me he and his good friend Tommy set some at his house.  We have a naughty little leprechaun that visits our house. He likes to turn our house a mess. He flipped over couches, moved the recliner into the Toy room, took the toy bins out and stacked them up and a few other silly things. The boys also found that the Leprechaun turned our water in the house green and left his little green foot prints on the toilet seat.  That silly little man. He was having too much fun in our house.  After all his mess he made, he left the boys a bucket of “Green items”.  This was a fun little treat for the boys after we had to clean up the mess the little bugger left us.

With St. Patrick’s Day being on Sunday we were able to have a little fun. I had made green rice krispie treats cut out into a 4 leaf clover for the boys for a treat. For dinner we had a rainbow fruit tray with some yummy gold at the end of the rainbow.  I had all intentions of making some fun rainbow jello but I ran out of time.  The boys enjoyed the rainbow fruit.  Will have to make the rainbow jello on another day.  What day isn’t complete with out a fun craft project. I love making crafts and when a holiday comes along it makes it even more special. We love to make projects not only for us but we like to send family members a fun little treat in the mail.  So we made a 4 leaf clover with both boy’s hands and a leprechaun with each of their hands. The boys love making and sending these off to family.  Hope you had a fun St. Patrick’s day.  🙂

Stay tuned for week 13…..
