Project 52: Week 14: Easter Fun

Project 52: Week 14: Easter Fun

Holidays around our house are not only to celebrate for the reason of each holiday but also includes lots of fun activities.  With Easter came a lot of fun readings to the boys, talking about Jesus being born again and attending Church on Easter Sunday. I love finding fun activities to do with the boy no matter if it is around a holiday or just to do something fun. This week we made cards to send to the Grandparents, Great Grandma and the boy’s cousins.  I know my boys enjoy getting mail so we have been trying to send out something fun to their cousins once in a while. We also took the boys to a couple Easter egg hunts. There was still snow on the ground and or it was melting and a big mess but there was still lots of fun had by all.

The boys and I always have fun coloring and decorating Easter Eggs. This year “E” decided he wanted to get creative. We tied rubber bands around the eggs to try to give them strips in different colors. Some worked better than others. It is always fun to watch the boys do these activities and see how they like to change it from the year before. “E” is into anything to do with Arts and Crafts so he loved this.

“J” new thing is to stick his tounge out of the side of his mouth. He usually does it when he is happy and playing around. Thanks to my Hubby he took a photo of the boys and I. I am not in too many photos as I am usually the one behind the camera so thank you for taking this for me.

Easter morning is not complete without having and Easter egg hunt. “E” enjoys trying to get the most eggs which sometimes leaves “J” with only a few so we might have to find a new way to do it. Although the items in the eggs are split and or put in a bowl for all to share. Not sure how long the boys will let me do this.

This year it was all about outside. “E” got a new two wheeled scooter and helmet and “J” got his own big boy bike along with a helmet and bell.  They also received fishing poles. “E” has been asking to go fishing so I am sure a fishing trip will be taken this year.

We are at week 14 with week 15 coming right behind. I can’t believe  it’s April already.
